You may also wish to explore [[..:tools:]]. ====Hardware Resources==== [[..:tools:Hardware Resources]] at BYU that are available to help you work with project hardware include (some of these will require payment): ***Project Realization Lab (PRL), 126 and 136 EB** Space, tools, and materials for your project work. ***ME Prototype Laboratory, 117 EB** Manual and CNC machines and tooling. Incidental stock materials. Advice on prototyping. Help on making your parts. Welding. Table saw and band saw. Waterjet cutter. Rapid prototyping equipment. Laser cutter. ***MFGEN Material Removal Laboratory, 101 & 125 CTB** Manual and CNC machine and tooling. Waterjet cutter. ***ME Checkout Room, 154 CB** Hardware and components that can be used on a temporary basis with your project. Instrumentation equipment. Capstone toolbox available for checkout. Motors, laboratory instrumentation, 3D printing. ***ECE Experiential Learning Center, 416 CB** Electrical and electronic components, stock materials. Advice on prototyping. Help on making your parts. Hardware, 3D prints. Table saw and band saw. ***Additive Manufacturing Lab, 155 CTB** FDM, SLA, Resin, and nylon sintering capabilities. 3D printing services and information on designing, optimizing, and printing. ***Paint Booth** Available for painting approved projects with permission. ***Physical Facilities Manufacturing Shop, 108 CTB** professional machining, rapid prototyping, consultation on design drawings. ***HBLL** 3D Printing, professional audio and video recording and editing equipment, infrared cameras. ====Office Resources==== [[..:office_resources:Office Resources]] that are available to help you complete documentation-related tasks include: * **CAEDM computer labs** Computers with word-processing, engineering design, and engineering analysis tools. * **Box group folder** A group folder for your team has been established to allow you to share project-related files. You should not use Google docs or other insecure group folders for this purpose. * **CAEDM group printing** Your CAEDM group will allow you to print team deliverables using project funds. This is the Capstone approved printing method for team printing. Do not use Cougar Creations, Kinko’s, or any other outside vendor for team printing. Do not use the team CAEDM group for individual printing, including individual Capstone assignments. ***Long Distance Access Code** Each Capstone team has a long-distance access code to allow project-related calls from any campus telephone. * **Spiral binding machine** The Capstone office has a spiral binding machine that you can use to bind reports to be sent to your sponsor if they want hard-copies. ====Purchasing Resources==== [[..purchasing_and_travel:home|Purchasing and Travel]] resources are available to Capstone students include the following: * The Capstone office will purchase items for your team from off-campus vendors, such as Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. See [[..purchasing_and_travel:Orders]] for procedures to purchase items off-campus.\\ \\ * There are many places on campus where you can purchase items needed for your project.
